Blended Learning
The Blended Learning course is a two-part course consisting of an online component (Part 1) and an in-person skills assessment & testing (Part 2).

 

This course offers the same comprehensive training as an in-person class, with the added benefit of flexibility for those who have busy schedules to learn at their own pace in a comfortable environment

 

The CPR, AED & First AID course is designed to train non-healthcare individuals to effectively and safely provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

 

Upon completing the course, students will have the skills and knowledge to:
  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves the chances of survival in a cardiac arrest victim
  • Identify the signs of cardiac arrest and when to perform CPR
  • Administer high quality CPR for an adult, children and infants
  • Properly use an AED on both adults and children
  • Learn when and how to help a choking adult, child and infant
  • Understand and apply the key steps to providing first aid

 

Who is this course for?
Non-healthcare individuals such as teachers, daycare providers, and other individuals who may need to provide CPR or first aid in an emergency situation.
Upon completing Part 1, students will schedule an appointment for the in-person skills assessment (Part 2), print their online completion confirmation and
bring to their skills assessment. After successfully completing skills assessment, a BLS certification card will be issued.
Course Length: Approximately 2.5 hours for in person skills review
