The CPR, AED & First AID course is designed to train non-healthcare individuals to effectively and safely provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).

 

Upon completing the course, students will have the skills and knowledge to :
  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves the chances of survival in a cardiac arrest victim
  • Identify the signs of cardiac arrest and when to perform CPR
  • Administer high quality CPR for an adult, children and infants
  • Properly use an AED on both adults and children
  • Learn when and how to help a choking adult, child and infant
  • Understand and apply the key steps to providing first aid
Who is this course for?
Non-healthcare individuals such as teachers, daycare providers, and other individuals who may need to provide CPR or first aid in an emergency situation

 

Two-Year Certification from the American Heart Association upon completion
Course Length: Approximately 4 hours of in-person, instructor-led training
